Pioneers and Trailblazers - Ages 6-10

Discover the stories of important Edina pioneers and see if you have what it takes to live on the Minnesota frontier. Against the historic backdrop of the Historic Cahill School and Minnehaha Grange Hall, this immersive camp blends history learning and skill building, teaching time tested, practical skills within their larger historical context. Over the course of four days, campers will learn homesteading skills such as butter making, sewing, gardening, and more! Campers will also learn about Edina’s complex and diverse history, highlighting the stories of women and Black pioneers.
Junior Historians - Ages 10-13
July 13th –16th
Designed for aspiring young historians, this camp will be an enriching history learning experience. Campers will study primary sources, discover the stories of historic figures, and partake in hands-on activities, immersing themselves in Minnesota’s rich history and developing essential history learning skills. Through this camp, campers will not only discover historical facts, but they will also uncover how learning about our past helps us to better understand our future.
