Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities 

We are indebted to the volunteers and interns who do so much to make this work possible. Please consider helping - there are many opportunities to donate your time, talents and resources: 

• Collections volunteer 
  • Learn how to process and document the objects in our collection and assist with research. 
• Museum greeter volunteer 
  • Open and/or close the museum, oversee museum open hours, and assist visitors.  
• Social media/marketing volunteer 
  • Support our community outreach efforts and become a social media/marketing volunteer. Make social media posts and help brainstorm marketing strategies that will inform our community of EHS events and programs.   
• Cahill School volunteer 
  • Join our Cahill School team and become a volunteer school marm/master or schoolhouse assistant. Teach our field trip curriculum to school groups and help us to improve our educational programs.

Internship Opportunities

The Edina Historical Society offers a variety of opportunities for High School, College, and Graduate Internships. These include focuses on, or training in:

• Grant Writing
• Historic Interpretation
• Collections Management
• Program Development
• Photo and Audio Digitization
• Curation
• Research and Writing
