The Edina Historical Society depends on the support of its members for about one-third of its operating income. Other income sources include field trip fees from Cahill School and an annual grant of $10,000 from the City of Edina. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; your dues (minus any promotional gifts) are tax deductible.
Your dues help pay for costs like: Photo restoration: $65 per photo; Archival box to store 100-year-old quilt: $25; Computer software to catalog collections: $696; Staffing two mornings per week at the museum and research library: $5,000 annually.
We make our project decisions based on our membership income each year. If you'd like to fund a particular project, see our project list.
How to join
Membership dues start at just $25 annually. Your membership is a fully tax deductible donation. Please click on the pulldown menu at right below 'Membership Level' in order to select the level of your choice:
Renewal: Membership is for one calendar year, beginning each January.
