Museum: Research Library

Library offers wide range of resources for researchers

While many people visit the Edina History Museum for its exhibits, almost as many others come to the museum to research the history of all aspects of Edina history: from family genealogy, house, neighborhood, church and civic organizations.

People from all over the country call us for information on Edina's Southdale Mall, the first enclosed shopping center, which opened in 1956. Students use our collections for writing class papers. Whether they're curious about their street name or want to know when the porch was added to their house, residents find the answers in our collections.

Visit the Research pages on our site to find out more about resources available.
