                                        Edina's Greatest Generation:
On the front lines and the home front

Dubbed the "Greatest Generation" by broadcaster Tom Brokaw, these men and women survived the Depression, defended America during World War II and returned the country to prosperity during the Boom years.

This exhibit looks at Edina on the front lines and the home front. With the military collection of Vince Cockriel and items from our collection, you will see Edina residents and the community during the war years. Among the hundreds of artifacts, the exhibit includes Dr. Paul Carson's uniform and parachute -- that his wife Mary later snipped to get material for curtains.

We want YOUR story to include in this exhibit and our permanent collection of Edina history. Please submit your photo of you with a description of your service. We're also looking for stories and photos of activities on the home front.
